Power Options for 2020
The 2020 GMC Acadia is a three-row crossover SUV that has now got a new 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine added to the existing power options, sitting between the 2.5-liter inline-4 engine at the basemaking 193-hp and the optional 3.6-liter V-6 engines shooting out 310-hp.
This newturbo-4 engine has the ability to produce 230-horsepower, and 258 pound-feet of torque after mating with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which has now replaced the 6-speed that was set as standard for the last year.
This new transmission comes with a stop/start system as standard to improve the fuel economy rates, and so it has been installed on all trim models of 2020 Acadia, irrespective of the engine power engaged under the hood.
Other Feature Additions
For 2020, GMC has dressed up every trim of the Acadia lineup with new exterior mirrors that work in tune with integrated LED turn signals, while a new power lift gate is installed on SLT, AT4, and Denali trim models that will project the GMC logo on theground when you drive at night.
There are some changes on the inside as well. A new interior blue-hued color scheme now adorns the dashboard in combination with an open-pore wood trim while a new 8.0-inch touchscreen and a new infotainment software replaces the earlier one.
For 2020, GMC has linked the key fobs to the infotainment software to enable the option to automatically reset the functionalities like climate settings, favorite destinations for the optional navigation system and audio output.
GMC has now added two USB Type-C ports to the center console of every 2020 Acadia counting them to five. There will be an upgraded 15-watt wireless charging pad as well to keep your electronic devices charged while a new head-up display system is added to the list of optional features.
